WHAT DOES THE KRENOV FOUNDATION DO?
SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS
The Krenov Foundation awards scholarships to students of The Krenov School in both the intensive nine-month program and summer classes. Scholarships for the nine-month program range from $1000 to $7500. Our scholarships benefit students in need of financial assistance including those from underrepresented communities.
THE KRENOV ARCHIVE
The Krenov Archive is a freely accessible digital archive of James Krenovʼs furniture, writings, and teachings. The preservation of his work was initiated in 2013 by a grant from the Community Foundation of Mendocino County and other donations to The Krenov Foundation.
EXHIBITIONS
The Krenov Foundation has been proud to support exhibitions of fine woodworking nationwide, for example ʻKrenov at 100,ʼ an online video exhibition; ‘Deep Roots & Spreading Branches: Fine Woodworking of the Krenov School’, Ukiah, CA; and ʻMaking a Seat at the Table,ʼ a national exhibition at the The Center for Art in Wood, Philadelphia, PA.
