The Krenov School Summer Workshop Scholarships
The Awards
Three Scholarships of up to $3000 each will be awarded to attend either session of Tools and Techniques (WOD-70A Introduction to Woodworking) or WOD-70B (Small Projects) . For more information on dates and availability visit The Krenov School Summer Workshops web page.
Who Can Apply?
We offer one scholarship open to all that apply and two qualified scholarships for people of color and others who have been historically underrepresented in woodworking, including Black, Indigenous, LatinX, Asian Pacific Islander, and refugee or immigrant students. Be sure to check all boxes that apply when filling out the application online.
How to Apply
The scholarship application for the summer workshops at the Krenov School is available as an online form as of March 1st. We have provided an information & requirements document to help applicants prepare the necessary criteria prior to beginning the process of completing the online form. We recommend having all of your information and documentation ready prior to beginning the online application form. We will host a 40 minute webinar on Saturday March 15th at 10:00AM Pacific to review the application process and answer questions.

Scholarships will be awarded by April 7, 2025.
Once the scholarships have been awarded, awardees must register in the summer class independently and promptly when priority registration opens on April 14th, 2025. Please visit The Krenov School Summer Workshop Registration page for detailed information about registering. Because of The Krenov School’s unique structure under the umbrella of the Mendocino Community College system, registration is on a first-come first-serve basis. The Krenov Foundation Scholarship does not ensure a place in the summer class. If you miss the registration window the scholarship will be awarded to the next qualified applicant registered in the class, or carried on to the next summer.
